October 24th – 26th 2014
It’s that time to head up to beautiful Big Sur for our semi-annual camping/flying trip. So get your camping gear dusted off, flying gear ready and come on up and join us for the weekend!!!
We’ve got a two big group camping spots at Plaskett Creek campground, so bring your family and friends!
Big Sur is appropriate for all levels of pilots and partiers.
There will be a potluck on Saturday night for those who wish to participate.

Hi – I’d like to come .. what are the logistics / details – eg. usual times to meet/fly/eat on Fr. Sat Sun etc.
I’ll be driving to SF for conference on Sun nite – so would rather stay in motel x couple nites near by if any – or do they have cabins (?)
Thx,
andre
Hi Andre,
Rides to launch are usually organized in the AM at the group sites. Meet times are hard to say since it’s weather dependent. My suggestion would be to just get to the group sites by 9am to see what the plan is on Sat and Sun. Friday is more just a free for all and most pilots just meet sometime around noon or later and hangout near the LZ which is across the street from the ranger station which is just about a mile North of the campgrounds. Phone service is very spotty at best in this area so you just have to find each other by hanging out near the LZ. There is a Motel 3 miles South of Plaskett Creek campgrounds but I don’t know the name of it. There is also an Inn at Ragged Point which is 7 miles South. I highly encourage camping if possible for the experience!
Cheers!
